Blanchard Cemetery Association
Rules and Regulations
1. Application for all interments or disinterments must be filed with and approved by the Blanchard Cemetery Superintendent.
2. Effective February 5, 1998, installation of curbing is not permitted in the cemetery. Curbing not properly maintained may be removed at the discretion of the Cemetery Association.
3. No natural or man-made materials of any description will be used to cover a gravesite.
4. No flora shall be planted in the cemetery without permission of the Board of Directors.
5. General care of the cemetery will be provided. When in the opinion of the Superintendent any flora not properly cared for will be removed without notice.
6. The Board of Directors reserves the right to prune or remove plants or trees that may be injurious, unsightly or detrimental to the cemetery.
7. The Board of Directors through the Superintendent will approve and supervise all cemetery landscaping.
8. From March 1 to October 1, only artificial bouquets and cut flowers will be permitted as gravesite decorations on national holidays. All ground decorations will be removed fourteen (14) days after the first days of holidays.
9. Floral and other decorations will be permitted if connected or affixed to a monument. If decorations become unaffixed to a monument, the Superintendent will remove.
10. No wooden boxes are to be used as outside containers within the cemetery.
11. Concrete boxes, concrete vaults, steel vaults or fiberglass vaults MUST be used within the cemetery.
12. Digging holes on or about gravesites or other mutilation within the cemetery is forbidden.
13. Speed limit within the cemetery is 15 mph.
14. Funds received by the Blanchard Cemetery Association from lot sales/or perpetual care are not refundable.

Rules and Regulations on Monuments
1. The monuments will be set under the supervision of the Blanchard Cemetery Superintendent. The cemetery requires no less than a twenty four (24) hour notice of when the monument company will place the monument.
2. All flat markers must be flush with the ground and have a six (6) inch deep concrete base. All upright monuments must have a solid concrete base of no less than six (6) inches deep and width of the base not to exceed eighteen (18) inches.
3. All upright monuments must be set at the head of the grave (west end).
4. All footmarkers and cornerstones must be flush with the ground.
5. No monument can exceed the length of: single graves- 4 foot and double graves- 8 foot.
6. All oversize monuments must be approved by the Cemetery Superintendent prior to purchase.
7. All vaults must be buried below the ground surface. No individual or multiple mausoleums of any type are permitted.
8. There is a $125 marking fee for each monument.
9. These rules and regulations are effective January 1, 1989 and are subject to change. Please contact the Blanchard Cemetery Association for any further information. Failure to abide by the above rules can result in the removal of said monuments.
